Surrounding rock control of soft rock roadway was one of difficult problem of roadway supporting. Based on the specific engineering project, the reasons of the deformation that the surrounding properties, the whole structure of the support and the bearing capacity of the surrounding rock were analyzed, the existing problems of the primary support program was revealed, and a complementary technology that the “U-shape contractible frame, anchor net spray” controlling the surrounding rock was used. The result of the experiment showed that good effect of surrounding rock controlling was obtained and the deformation convergence was small.
