The main methods of coal seam contrast in coalfield geological exploration include marker layer method, interlayer spacing method, coal seam characteristics method and logging curve characteristics method. However, under the condition of complex geological structure, a single method is easy to cause high error rate of rock and coal seam correlation. The logging curve is abundant in information, which records the different characteristics of different strata and the subtle differences of the same rock under different geological backgrounds. In this paper, the logging curve was used to compare the details of the coal-bearing strata, and the coal-bearing strata return and fault interpretation under complex geological structure conditions were discussed. The practice showed that the comprehensive contrast of logging curves could improve the accuracy of coal seam return and reduce the error of fault interpretation.
