In the process of mining, water accumulation in goaf became an important uncertain factor. In order to find out the water accumulation of No.5-108 Face in the upper part of No.9-106 Face in Pangpangta Coal Mine, the ground transient electromagnetic method and mine transient electromagnetic method were used to carry out comprehensive exploration, and the range of goaf accumulated water area was accurately delineated. Through the underground drilling verification, the scope of the water accumulation area was found out, and a large amount of water was drained, which provided accurate geological data for the safe mining of the mine.
