Due to the unreasonable layout of the working face in traditional island mining technology, the amount of coal extracted during island mining was low. Therefore, research on technology of island mining under complex conditions in fully mechanized mining faces was conducted. Firstly, it was necessary to arrange the working face and optimize its length, in order to fully utilize resources and improve coal mining efficiency. Secondly, determine the rotation radius of the mining island in order to adjust the position of the working face reasonably during the mining process. Once again, by calculating the rotation parameters of the mining island, the rotation process of the working face could be further optimized and the coal mining volume could be increased. Finally, using rotation technology to achieve island mining. The experimental results showed that the coal mining capacity of this method in island mining under complex conditions of fully mechanized mining face was much higher than that of traditional technology. In 25 days of mining, the coal mining capacity exceeded 70000 tons, which improved the coal mining capacity of island mining and reduced resource waste.
