The technology of mining overburden separated layer grouting can effectively reduce the ground displacement produced in the process of coal mining. In order to study the effect of grouting parameters on ground settlement, two methods of indoor model test and numerical analysis were used to study the effect of grouting parameters, the dynamic process of overburden separation and the effect of different grouting parameters on ground displacement were studied respectively. The results showed that the development of overburden separation could be divided into five processes: separation generation, separation extension, separation stability, separation attenuation and separation closure; with the increase of injection-production ratio, land subsidence and tilt deformation gradually decreased;with the rise of grouting position and the increase of mining face width, the ground subsidence and tilt deformation also gradually became larger.
