Abstract: There is a large amount of water in the No.91105 goaf above the No.92105 excavation face of Yushupo Coal Industry. In order to ensure the safe construction of the No.92105 excavation face, a long-distance water exploration borehole was constructed in the No.92103 belt roadway, and the accumulated water in the No.91105 goaf was explored and discharged. A total of 7 boreholes were designed and constructed. The practice results showed that after the use of advanced water exploration borehole, the footage of No.92105 excavation face could be guaranteed to be 552 m, the construction period could be saved by about 46 days, and the cost could be saved by about 480,000 yuan, which ensured the safe and efficient excavation of roadway.
