Abstract: In order to study the applicability of controlled source audio magnetotelluric method to the detection of underground concealed faults, this paper took Qinglong Mine in Qianxi County, Guizhou Province as the research object. By selecting and arranging geophysical detection survey lines and drilling detection holes in the mining area, the results of controlled source audio magnetotelluric method were used to interpret the faults in the area, and the drilling detection data were analyzed. The results showed that there was a gap in the vertical direction between the controlled source audio magnetotelluric method and the drilling detection exposure in the region. However, compared with drilling detection, the CSAMT method could more intuitively judge the trend and tendency of the faults in the whole region. Therefore, the CSAMT method was still of great significance and wide applicability for the judgment of faults. It had great limitations to rely solely on the CSAMT detection data to judge the faults. Therefore, in the process of using the CSAMT method to interpret the faults, the combination of geological and existing drilling detection data should be strengthened to enhance the reliability of the interpretation results.
