Abstract: In this paper, the small aperture hydraulic fracturing method is used to measure the in-situ stress of No.13 super thick coal seam in Shaping Coal Mine. According to the measured data obtained from four groups of measuring points, the in-situ stress distribution law of No.13 super thick coal seam in Shaping Coal Mine is analyzed and summarized. The results show that the measured ground stress of No. 13 coal seam is less than 10 MPa, belonging to the low stress value area ; the maximum horizontal principal stress is the main stress in the four groups of measuring points, and the minimum horizontal principal stress in the first and second measuring points is the minimum principal stress. The type of stress field measured is σH>σV>σh. The vertical stress of the third and fourth measuring points is the minimum principal stress, and the measured regional stress field type isσH>σV>σh stress field. The maximum horizontal principal stress directions of the four groups of measuring points are N43.8°W, N35.2°W, N11.9°W and N12.8°W respectively, which are NNW-NW directions with good consistency.
