Abstract: Taking Chahasu mine in Inner Mongolia as an example, this paper analyzed the influence and damage of mining activities on groundwater resources in initial mining stage from the aspects including aquifer structure, water level and water quality, etc. And prediction and evaluation were made according to the current situation. In the current condition, the influence degree of this coal mine mining activity on aquifer was serious. In the future coal mining, it was predicted that the direct water-filled aquifer in coal mine would be drained, which would have a serious influence. Mine drainage had little influence on water quality. The water supply wells of shallow groundwater were influenced within the mining scope. And the wells would be exhausted in severe case.
