Abstract: There are No. 5, No. 9, No. 16 three-layer mineable coal seams within the V-panel area of Qipanjing Mine, of which No. 5 coal seam is a partially mineable thin seam and the main mining No. 9, No. 16 coal seams; according to the recent V-panel area Supplementary exploration combined with previous data to analyze the hydrogeological conditions of Ordovician ash in the V-panel area, and evaluated by the water inrush coefficient method. No. 9 coal in the V-pan area was less threatened by water damage from the Ordovician ash from the floor, and can realize the safety of the coal seam. Although No. 16 coal seam has many favorable conditions for mining under pressure, there were also unfavorable factors. The DFV5 reverse fault in the V-panel area caused the main coal seam to be connected to the Ordovician aquifer, and the floor water hazard was highly threatened. Supplementary exploration did not explore the water conductivity of the fault, and it was necessary to strengthen the exploration of the water conductivity of the fault when the production and mining activities were carried out near the fault, so as to realize the safe mining of the No. 16 coal seam under pressure.
