Abstract: The coal seam of 2616 working face in Dongpang Mine contains a layer of gangue. In order to determine the gas drainage method, the theoretical analysis and calculation method are used to study the layout position and spacing of gas drainage boreholes. The results show that, without considering the mutual influence between the extraction boreholes, in order to ensure the effect of pre-pumping and side-pumping, the borehole should be arranged near the gangue, and the borehole spacing should not be greater than 4.2 m. Considering the extraction time, the borehole is determined to be 0.1 m above the gangue, and the borehole spacing is 3.5 m. The residual gas content detection and gas concentration monitoring of working face and upper corner during mining show that the extraction rate of working face is more than 30%, the gas concentration of working face is less than 0.4%, and the gas concentration of upper corner is less than 0.6%. The field application effect is good.
