Abstract:In order to prevent the spontaneous combustion of residual coal in the goaf of 8212 working face of Madaotou Coal Industry Co., Ltd, based on the principle of liquid CO2 fire prevention and extinguishing technology, the numerical simulation software was used to carry out the buried depth of the release port, the ventilation rate of the working face and the CO2 injection flow in the liquid CO2 injection parameters. The buried depth of the injection port was 40 - 60 m, and the ventilation rate of the inlet roadway was 0.5 m/s. Based on the numerical simulation results, combined with the characteristics of the working face, the liquid CO2 fire prevention scheme is designed, and the monitoring and analysis are carried out when the fire prevention scheme is implemented. The results show that after CO2 injection in the goaf, the CO concentration in the working face and the return air flow is significantly reduced, and there is no spontaneous combustion in the goaf during the mining of the working face. After the implementation of the fire prevention and extinguishing scheme, the maximum CO concentration in the goaf is less than 80 ppm, and there is no spontaneous combustion. The injection of liquid CO2 effectively inhibits the spontaneous combustion of residual coal in the goaf.
