Aiming at the phenomenon of gas overlimit in the upper corner and the mining goaf area of Sima Mine 1208 working face in the process of recovery, the gas extraction technology and application status were analyzed, and the gas overlimit in the first stage of recovery mainly originated from the gas in the fissure zone of the overlying rock layer on the working face was determined, and the high fissure zone gas extraction technology was adopted according to the actual production situation. After the gas extraction technology was adopted, the gas concentration in the mining area was below 2.5%, and the gas concentration in the upper corner was below 0.5%, which achieved remarkable application results.
