Application of the new technologies in ammonium chloride wastewater treatment were summarized, multi-effect evaporation, membrane technologies, MVR were included. Generally, enterprise choose the traditional multi-effect evaporation to treat the ammonium chloride wastewater ,which were technical problems. Multi-effect evaporation process needed large equipment investment, high consumption and these increase the operating costs. In recent years, with the strengthening of the energy saving policy and the rising of the energy prices, membrane technologies and MVR were more and more used in industrial wastewater treatment for its clean, energy-saving advantages. Reverse osmosis membrane, nano-composite membrane, and the integration of various membrane and so on were applied to treat different concentrations of ammonium chloride wastewater and get satisfactory results. As a new technology, MVR had good development prospect, with its energy-saving advantages to reduce the operation cost.
