With amycolatopsisoriental V30 as initial strain, the strain mutagenized through UV and microwave,then was bred to obtain vancomycin high yield strain V311-04. The shake flask potency of the selected strain increased more than 7% than that of the initial strain, and the selected strain had good genetic stability.
