New Progress of Treatment Technologies of Antibiotic Fermentation Residue

The antibiotic fermentation residue contains residues of antibiotics and metabolic intermediates, is a special kind of hazardous waste.There are potential hazards on the ecological environment and human health without improper disposal.The new technologies of treating antibiotic fermentation residue including energy, fertilizer, recycling, preparation of activated carbon, coal water slurry etc. were introduced.It is pointed out that the fertilizer and energy is effective way to solve the bulk antibiotic fermentation residue disposal problems;It is currently urgent to establish a scientific system of biological safety detection method and evaluation criteria in order to provided technical support to achieve low-cost harmless and resource treatment of antibiotic fermentation residue.
