In order to solve the problem of insufficient by-product 1-butene in coal to olefin (MTO) plus linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) process of China Coal Shaanxi Yulin Energy and Chemical Corporation Ltd. (China Coal Yulin Energy and Chemical Corporation Ltd.), the 20 000 t/a 1-butene industrial plant was built and put into operation in October 2016, and has been running smoothly up to now. The running results show that under the conditions of C4 feeding rate of 16.24 t/h, reaction temperature of 316 ℃ and reaction pressure of 0.42 MPa, the one-way yield of 1-butene was more than 17.5%, and the catalyst has the characteristics of high yield of 1-butene, low impurity content and long regeneration period. The installation and operation of the plant not only solved the problem of insufficient by-product 1-butene, but also improved the utilization value of by-product C4 resources, and improved the comprehensive benefits of the plant.
