Tower equipment is one of the key equipment in petrochemical enterprises. HAZOP analysis of tower equipment is one of the effective methods to improve the intrinsic safety of tower equipment and reduce the possible hazardous factors in the production process. Based on the HAZOP analysis of tower equipment in petrochemical enterprises, the reasons for the deviation of process operation was analyzed from normal operation conditions (i.e. the cause of deviation) and the consequences of deviation according to the main process parameters such as temperature, pressure, tower bottom liquid level and feed flow rate. In view of the causes and consequences of the deviation, the safety measures should be taken and the existing safety measures should be identified The existing hidden dangers and deficiencies are proposed, and the key points of HAZOP analysis for tower equipment were studied and discussed.
