The study of coal reservoirs is of great significance for the evaluation of coalbed methane resources. Based on the actual drilling data in Wuyang coalfield, combined with regional geological features, the physical characteristics of coalbed methane reservoirs in No. 3 coal seam of Wuyangjing District were analyzed in terms of fracture characteristics, coal reservoir pressure and coal adsorption characteristics from coal seams and coal rocks, coal seam gas, coal seam permeability, coal seams. The results showed that the No. 3 coal seam with good characteristics, high gas content, a certain degree of pore fissures and strong coal seam adsorption, was conducive to the occurrence of coalbed methane and provided a theoretical basis for the future development and utilization of coalbed methane.
