Based on analysis of current situation and challenges of coalbed methane development in China, the potential of composite natural gas contained in coal measures strata in China was discussed, and then development characteristics and strategies of coalbed methane and coal measures sandstone gas were explored, aiming to provide reference for exploration and development of coal measures natural gas so as to promote steady development of coalbed methane development in China.
