Large general simulation software Petro-SIM developed by KBC company is common used in the production process of the steady state simulation and optimization, which has played an important role in equipment condition analysis, fault diagnosis, tapping potential and increasing efficiency, processing scheme optimization and plant production optimization in many oil refineries. Through simulating the wax oil hydrofining unit of SINOPEC Shijiazhuang Refining and Chemical Branch by using Petro-SIM software, the distillation unit was optimized, and the corrosion of high pressure heat exchanger was predicted by using the physical property method of the model, and the anti-corrosion measures and suggestions were put forward.
