Based on abnormal gas content in local area and water inrush in 5316 recovery mining face, by analyzing features of air leakage field after no coal pillar mining, combined with the source, volume and law of gas emission, the comprehensive prevention and control of gas was settled. The result showed that no pillar mining enables to effectively control mine pressure display and water inrush. Gas out of limits was controlled with monitoring early warning, pressure ventilation and gas drainage technology. Water inrush in floor and gas out of limits were prevented after the adoption of the technology, with significant reference for similar mining.
