Aiming at the coal floor water inrush threat to coal mining safety, based on the detailed analysis of the coal geology and hydro-geology data, the main factors affecting the coal floor water inrush risk were confirmed and analyzed, using AHP method to confirm the weights of each factor, and fusing the main factors using the spatial and overlay function of GIS. Finally, getting the zoning map of coal floor water inrush risk, compared with the traditional water-inrush coefficient method zoning result, the comparison shows that the vulnerability index method results are more correct and can provide protection for the safety of coal mining.
