The oxygen bomb combustion and ion chromatography method was developed for the determination of the content of fluorine and chlorine in imported coal. The linear relation, method detection limit, precision limit and applicability of the method were discussed and researched. The influence of eluent flow rate, sample mass and absorption time on the content of fluorine and chlorine was investigated, the effect of ion chromatography and potassium thiocyanate titration on the content of fluorine and chlorine was compared. Research results show that the method for determination the content of fluoride and chlorine, selecting Dionex AS-19 anion analysis column, and taking 30 mmol/L NaOH as leaching liquid, using automatiomatical regeneration inhibit type conductance detection device and external standard method, is simple, fast and small dosage of reagents, and precision and accuracy could meet the related requirements respectively; the obtained optimum conditions are the eluent flow rate is 1mL/min, the sample mass is 0.7 g , the absorption time is 30 min; the determination results of the content of fluorine and chlorine by ion chromatography and potassium thiocyanate titration are coincident.
