Based on different sizes of collapse column development, unknown geological data and inacurate geological analysis, there were problems existed in roadway construction. Through scientific analysis of developmental characteristics of collapse column, as well as mathematical statistics and application of rock movement theory, range and boundary seam location of collapse column were predicted to locate borehole accurately, which improved work efficiency greatly.
