The development present situation of coal / methanol to olefins industry in our country was introduced, and the effect of coal / methanol to olefins industry development caused by the drop of oil price was analyzed as well, and the corresponding countermeasures and development suggestions were put forward: different development of downstream olefin products, extending industrial chain, improving the added value of products; focusing on raw material supply and avoiding the price risk; enhancing the technical level, reducing material and energy consumption, reducing the production cost; strengthening quality process management, improving the quality control standard.
