Through the study of large mining height working area mining technology of Shangwan Mine, coal mining machine cutting coal method, hydraulic support and moving frame method were optimized, which improved the mining rate, it was concluded that shearer two-way cutting feed on the end of coal mining technology and unidirectional cutting feed in the central coal mining process were more efficient than unidirectional cutting feed on the end of coal mining process at any time. Two columns hydraulic powered support was used, and at the same time, the large initial support force and the single frame shift frame were supposed to move shift.
