According to  difficult control of coal wall rib spalling in large mining height fully mechanized working face, based on statistic analysis of main forms of rib spalling, numerical analysis software was used to study the influence of face machine mining height, end face, support working resistance to the stability of coal wall, the control parameters and conclusions with guidance significance were got.
