At present, China has paid more and more attention on environmental protection requirements, most of the power plants and coal chemical industries adopted silo to replace open-air coal field as a way to storage coal and prevent coal dust pollution. But how to solve the safety of silo has become an important issue that we should concerned. Now there hasn’t been  any regulations on safety protection of silo instruments in domestic. Aiming at this problem, from the properties demands of silo, the relative mature design selection and development direction in China were introduced. And feasible design schemes of silo instrument safety protection system was proposed.
