Abstract: In order to prevent the spontaneous combustion of residual coal in the goaf of 11 - 104 working face in Zhengyi Coal Industry Co., Ltd., Fluent numerical simulation software was used to analyze the distribution law of three zones of spontaneous combustion during the initial mining and normal mining of working face. Based on the analysis results, the was concluded that the range of oxidation spontaneous combustion zone was 140 - 360 m and 60 - 237 m from the inlet side and return side of goaf during the initial mining, and 160 - 410 m and 90 - 235 m from the inlet side and return side of goaf during the normal mining. Based on the characteristics of goaf and the distribution law of spontaneous combustion ' three zones ', the fire prevention and extinguishing scheme is designed as goaf sealing + buried pipe grouting + goaf nitrogen injection, and bundle tube monitoring is carried out after the implementation of the fire prevention and extinguishing scheme. The results show that after the implementation of the fire prevention scheme, the maximum concentration of CO in the goaf is less than 80 ppm, and there is no spontaneous combustion phenomenon, which ensures the safe mining of the working face.
