In order to study the application of transient electromagnetic detection technology in detecting the water-richness of the rock in front of and around the head of the roadway, a PROTEM-47 transient electro-magnetometer was used to detect the predicted water accumulation in the mining area in the 11101 working face of Jingu Coal Industry. Based on the results of the survey, the location of the waterlogged areas in the mine was circled and the conclusions were verified by drilling the hole in conjunction with the location circled by the mine side. The results showed that the range circled by the drilling results and the anomalous area circled by the transient electromagnetic transient were in the same patch location, and the mine transient electromagnetic detection had good application in detecting water accumulation in the goaf.
