Based on the analysis of the geological conditions of the Jiangjun Gobi No. 2 open-pit mine, the factors affecting the stability of the slope were determined. The main factors affecting the stability of the slope were the strength of the rock mass, the weak surface of the structure, groundwater, weathering, and mining activities. By analyzing the factors, reasonable slope safety factors were settled, GeoStudio-SLOPE software was used to rationally design the slope angle, a series of prevention and control measures were taken during the mining process to ensure safe and efficient production work.
