In order to deal with the gas disaster in the S5-13 working face of Changcun Mine, the S5-13 working face was pre-drained with dense layered drilling to eliminate the gas disaster. Dense bedding drilling destroyed the original stress of the coal body and formed a pressure relief zone around the borehole, which could effectively increase coal seam cracks and gas passages and effectively improve extraction efficiency. The drilling parameters of the bedding in the S5-13 working face and the data of gas drainage in the two mining roadways were analyzed. After using the dense bedding drilling arrangement in the S5-13 working face, the extraction effect was relatively good, the pure gas content was high, the gas content in the coal seam was reduced, the gas disaster in the S5-13 working face was successfully solved, and the safe production of the mine was guaranteed.
