In order to understand the law of overburden movement and mining pressure in the 721001 fully mechanized mining face in Duerpin Mine, the UDEC numerical simulation software was used to simulate the movement of overlying strata during mining face mining and mining pressure monitoring. The results showed that the initial pressure step of the basic top of the working face was about 40.5 m, and the average step of the periodic pressure was 16.0 m. The numerical simulation was basically consistent with the monitoring data of the mine pressure. The management of the roof and the coal wall and the control of the initial support of the support should be strengthened during the pressure.
