As a result, underground geophysical prospecting technology was applied to geological prediction and prediction work. Abnormal low resistance caused by goaf water in roof was inspected by transient electromagnetic method. At the same time, abnormal perspective caused by structures of collapse columns in stoping face was explored by radio wave perspective method as well as combining drilling to verify the key target, which solved geological problems effectively in excavation and recovery. According to geophysical interpretation of abnormal area, successful detection of old empty water was over 50000 m3, Stoping ahead avoided 6 collapse columns and faults, which saved more than 8000 thousand yuan of production cost.
