EUROCLAUS sulfur recovery technology is used to convert COS and H2S in acid gases from the decarburization desulfurization device to elemental sulfur and recycling, thereby avoiding atmospheric pollution caused by direct combustion of the acidic gases in the torch. The application characteristics, existing problems of EUROCLAUS sulfur recovery technology, and the improvement measures of future recovery technology were introduced. It is pointed out that EUROCLAUS sulfur recovery technology has the characteristics of short process flow, wide operation flexibility, high technical security, high recovery rate, high environmental protection, low energy consumption, flexible operation, long cycle of catalyst and has been widely used in coal chemical industry. When the size of the sulfur recovery unit in coal chemical industry meets the requirements of the state environmental protection, and the technology is safe and reliable,  improvement of the recovery rate will be main purpose of the technology.
