Based on the obvious contradiction between current oil supply and consumption and the high dependence on foreign oil problem, current situation of coal to oil, coal to olefins, coal to natural gas technologies were analyzed. Accordingly, the development new coal chemical industry was found, which was an effective way to meet domestic energy needs, reduced coal pollution of the environment, achieved efficient use of clean energy.
