The surrounding rock of the withdrawal channel in the final mining stage of the working face is prone to deformation and failure. The method of roof cutting and pressure relief can realize the high stress transfer of the surrounding rock and reduce the deformation and failure degree of the surrounding rock of the roadway. No. 3573N Face of Fangezhuang Mine was taken as the research background, the numerical simulation method was used to analyze the variation characteristics of surrounding rock stress, displacement and plastic zone after roof cutting in the withdrawal channel of the working face. The results showed that the stress of the surrounding rock at the top of the retracement channel was relieved, the supporting pressure was transferred to the coal pillar, and the surrounding rock of the retracement channel was presented as shear and tension plastic zone and shear plastic zone. The surrounding rock control method of ' bolt + anchor cable ' combined support for the roof of the retracement channel and bolt support for the two sides was proposed. Comparing the plastic zone of roadway surrounding rock under supporting and unsupported conditions, it was found that the range of plastic zone after supporting was obviously smaller than that under unsupported conditions. The research results had an important supporting role in the surrounding rock control theory and technology of the withdrawal channel.
