Study on the determination of the reasonable location of stopping mining line and the reinforcement scheme of main roadway in Wuyang Mine

In view of the fact that the south floor main roadway in Wuyang Mine was affected by both the abutment pressure in advance and the mining disturbance during the mining process of No.7523 Face, which caused the deformation and damage of the south floor main roadway. Therefore, it was necessary to determine the reasonable location of the stopping mining line to reduce the impact of the working face mining on the south floor main roadway. In this paper, FLAC3D finite - element software was used to simulate the distribution of the abutment pressure in advance and the change laws of the plastic zone and vertical stress in the south floor main roadway during the working face advancing process. The simulation results showed that the peak value of the abutment pressure in advance appeared at 8~10 m away from the coal wall, and its intense influence range was about 50 m. As the working face advanced, the plastic failure mode of the south main roadway changed. The shear failure that was mainly concentrated near the arch when it was close to the south main roadway was transformed into the irregular shear failure far away from the south main roadway. Moreover, when the distance from the south main roadway was 10 m, the plastic failure range of the south main roadway increased rapidly, and the vertical stress also had a maximum point, indicating that at this time, the south main roadway was greatly affected by the mining disturbance and had poor stability. Considering multiple factors comprehensively, finally, the stopping mining line was set at a vertical distance of 20 m from the south main roadway, and combined with the technology of "advance reinforcement and timely maintenance", remarkable results had been achieved in the deformation control of the surrounding rock of the south main roadway, which provided a reference value for similar cases in the future.
