The structure of aqueous dispersion of ethyl acrylate-methyl methacrylate copolymer (hereinafter referred to as copolymer aqueous dispersion) was explored. The structures of ethyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, water, and copolymer aqueous dispersions were studied using mid infrared (MIR) spectroscopy. The infrared absorption modes of the molecular structure of ethyl acrylate include ν■, ν■, ν■, ν■, ν■, ν■ ν■and δ■. The infrared absorption modes of the molecular structure of methyl methacrylate include ν■, ν■, ν■, ν■, ν■, ν■, δ■, δ■ and ν■. The infrared absorption modes of water molecule structures include: ν■and δ■. The infrared absorption modes of copolymer water dispersion structures include ν■, ν■, ν■/δ■, ν■and ν■. MIR spectroscopy can quickly investigate the structure of copolymer water dispersions.
