Abstract: In the process of working face mining, due to the influence of geological factors such as faults or the need of transportation tasks, there will be connection roadways such as exploration roadways and equipment holes, obliquely crossing the working face and affecting normal mining. Based on the study of microseismic data of No.8470 Face in Yangdong Mine, the analysis of the working face through the connection roadway showed that the process of passing through the connection roadway had stage characteristics. With the advancement of the working face, there was a mutation near the connection roadway. The intersection of the connecting roadway and other roadways was stress concentration area and weak areas, where the microseismic events were easy to develop. In the advanced influence stage, the event energy was low. With the advancement of the working face, the closer to the position of the connection roadway, the large energy events began to increase. At three-quarters of the connection roadway, the energy distribution began to decrease ; during the period of passing through the connection roadway, the event near coal seam mainly developed in the vertical direction, and the deep development characteristics were not obvious.
