In recent years, the frequent occurrence of geological disasters such as surface subsidence in Wushishan Mine has seriously hindered and restricted the safe, orderly and stable development of the mine. Based on the analysis of the characteristics and formation cause of surface subsidence in Wushishan Mine, this paper studied the relationship between its formation mechanism and fault structure and rivers in the mining area, and put forward targeted and feasible treatment schemes and measures on this basis, which better solved the problem of surface subsidence from the perspective of engineering and achieved the ultimate goal of better serving the long-term sustainable development of the mine. The results showed that the method of combined uphole and downhole treatment was technically feasible and economically effective.
