Abstract：Taking Yinpanhao Mine as an example，the general steps to predict mine water inflow at the beginning of coal mining was simply elaborated. The general steps to predict mine water inflow at the beginning of coal mining include：analysis of mine water filling factors and hydrogeological condition complexity； selection of the appropriate calculation method and corresponding mathematical model； evaluation of prediction results.
