In order to prevent the corrosion of steel structure equipment platform of coal processing plant, coal samples from different coal processing plants, water samples of clean water selected for washing and chemicals selected for washing were collected, the content of elements in coal ash was analyzed, the pH and conductivity of clean water from different coal processing plants were measured, and the conductivity of chemicals in aqueous solution from different coal processing plants was investigated. In this paper, the relationship between corrosion of steel materials and inorganic salts in coal ash fraction, pH and conductivity of the water contacted was described, and conductivity analysis of the chemicals used in coal slurry water treatment was carried out. The experiments proved that oxygen, silicon, aluminum, iron and calcium elements accounted for a larger proportion in different coal ash fractions; the conductivity of clean water used in different coal processing plants varied greatly, with four of them greater than 2,000 uS/cm; the conductivity of coagulants was greater than that of flocculants at the same concentration. According to the environment in which the steel was located, corresponding anti-corrosion suggestions were given, which were of guidance in the selection of chemicals, steel pretreatment and maintenance.
