In view of deep mining of Shanqing coal with thin waterproof layer in Sunzhuang Mine, the ground area governance project was designed. On the ground, directional horizontal drilling technology was adopted to drill into the Daqing aquifer of the coal seam floor. Karst fissures, concealed water conduction (including) structure were explored with plugging, which realized the purpose of blocking the water channel, increasing the thickness of the water barrier layer, enhancing the integrity of the water barrier layer of the coal seam floor and the water barrier performance. By transforming Daqing limestone aquifer into weak aquifer or relative impermeable layer, the water control object was changed from double water damage to single water damage with Ordovician limestone water as the main control object, which laid a foundation for the safe mining.
