Based on the close distance coal seam of top coal recovery after the stress making change of the base plate, with stress concentration problems such as difficult to support, low and middle seam coal at close range of Guandi Mine was taken as example, numerical simulation analysis was conducted. Based on the analysis of the coal pillar under the coal seam roadway support optimization design, the optimized support scheme for the simulation analysis obtained the roadway roof and floor of coal seam and the two sides deformation with significant improvement, the deformation of the plastic area significantly narrowed, roadway stress distribution more reasonable, through the analysis of simulation results before and after, confirmed the feasibility of optimization, improved the stability of roadway of lower coal.
