Based on the increasing mining depth and strength of No. 15 coal seam in Yangmei mining area, with gas outburst in initial mining working face, according to masonry beam theory and key seam theory, overburden destruction influence on working face gas emission was analyzed, initial mining gas control roadway was put forward, No. 15 coal seam working face initial mining gas engineering experiment was done on site, gas drainage volume and working face gas emission were monitored. The result showed that fully mechanized caving face with initial mining gas control roadway could discharge in a timely and effective manner of mining in the early stage 86.25% ~ 90.29% of the adjacent layers gas, reduce the wind gas drainage quantity, eliminate hidden trouble of gas transfinite, realize safe and efficient production.
