In order to solve the problem of surface subsidence under the background of "under three "mining in Xingdong mining area, Xingdong Mine with large main coal seam thickness and deep burial was taken as the engineering application background. By using various methods and means such as theoretical analysis, computer numerical analysis and field measurement, the overburden movement law of deep and thick coal seam backfill mining face was deeply and systematically studied. Through theoretical calculation, the critical backfill height of the roof strata above the roof without fracture was obtained, and the movement and failure law of the roof strata in the mining process of the working face was obtained by numerical simulation. Finally, the maximum subsidence above the working face was measured, indicated that the ground deformation could be effectively controlled.
