In order to explore the influence law of pressure relief of variable diameter borehole on advance abutment pressure, No.2303 Face of strong rock burst mine in Guotun Coal Mine was taken as the research object, FLAC3 D numerical simulation software was used to establish numerical model, and the influence of variable diameter position and deep hole diameter on advance abutment pressure by control variable method was studied. The simulation results showed that when the variable diameter point was 6 m away from the roadway side and the deep hole diameter was 240 mm, the distance between the peak abutment pressure position and the working face was the smallest, and the pressure relief effect was the best. The remaining 70 m range of 2303 track crossheading was selected for on-site monitoring. The pressure relief operation of variable diameter borehole was carried out in the solid coal side, and the stress monitor was installed. The results showed that the pressure relief of variable diameter borehole could significantly reduce the advance peak pressure and make the peak point move to the working face, which was consistent with the simulation results. This study provided a basis for optimizing borehole pressure relief parameters and ensuring the stability and safety of roadway.
