In order to alleviate the increasingly tense problem of mining replacement, the drainage of the upper goaf accumulated water which was a threat to the excavation of the working face was taken as the research object, the directional drilling technology was used to drain the goaf accumulated water with dynamic water supply in advance for the first time in Dongpang Mine. By adjusting the borehole trajectory in time, it was ensured that the borehole was always drilled in the hard sandstone layer, so as to avoid the collapse of the hole and the large deviation. The drilling efficiency and success rate were improved, the hidden danger of water disaster was eliminated, and the delineation time of the working face was shortened.
